S02E04 “Shake and Fingerpop”

2009/Jul/22nd

“Shake and Fingerpop”
The other recruits from the light of day institute decide to play a trick on Jason. When he returns from dinner with the Newlin’s everyone is laying on the floor with ketchup on them resembling blood. Jason is then attacked by someone from behind and lead to believe he is about to be killed by a vampire. Then the lights turn on and everyone laughs at him. Jason then stands up and breaks the nose of the person responsible for the prank (it was the guy he met on the bus, that was supposed to be his room mate). Back at Bill’s house, he throws out Jessica’s new boyfriend and Jessica states she was NOT going to feed on him. Sookie suggest that they take Jessica with them to Texas. Tara decides to leave Maryann’s and move into Sookie’s house. Maryann and Eggs surprise Tara at Sookie’s with a birthday cake and tell her they have a huge party planned for her birthday. Jason is asked to be a part of a new elite spiritual army called the soldiers of the son. Sam goes to Tara’s party at Sookie’s house to deliver a birthday present from Lettie Mae, but Maryann decides to throw it away. When Bill, Sookie and Jessica arrive in Texas, a man attempts the abduct Sookie, but of course she reads his mind and screams before he has a chance to do anything. This prompts Bill to break from his coffin (vampires fly in special coffins apperently) and rescue her. They then glamor the man and take him with them to check into a hotel. After further questioning they find out the man was sent by the Fellowship of the Sun. Eric shows up at Lafayette’s house and offers him his blood. At first Lafayette refuses, but Eric assures him its his only option. His leg is already infected, and if he doesn’t drink his blood he will lose it. Things start turning very strange at Tara’s party (people start fighting, stuffing themselves with cake, and having sex basically everywhere) when Maryann leaves and starts doing some weird stuff, her body starts flashing and her hands turn into claws. This i think is supposed to lead us to believe that Maryann may be the monster that attacked Sookie in a previous episode. At the end of the episode, Jessica orders a man to her room to feed from, and Sookie meets someone who has the same powers as her for the first time.

S02E03 “Scratches”

2009/Jul/22nd

“Scratches”
This episode starts with Bill speeding down a dark road with Sookie in the passenger seat and Jessica in the back. Jessica is in hysterics from the events that took place at her parents house, and Bill is furious with Sookie because she undermined his authority as Jessica’s maker. Once Sookie has had enough of Bill’s angry tone, she leaves the car and decides to walk all the way back to Bon Temps. As she is walking down the road she is attacked by a mysterious creature. Sookie becomes paralyzed so Bill offers her his blood, but it doesn’t work! Bill takes Sookie to Fangtasia where she is treated by a doctor. The Dr. informs them that Sookie has been poisoned. When Bill asks Eric if he has ever heard of a Bull-Man who’s poison is not curable by vampire blood, he says strangely enough he hasn’t in the 1000 years he has been around. While away at his retreat, Jason continues to have visions of the vampire that his ex-girlfriend killed right in front of him. The doctor extracts the poison from Sookie, and Bill gives her blood to begin her healing. Erics minions head out to scan the area where Sookie was attacked, but find no monster. Jason starts having doubts about his attendance at the Light of Day institute, and wonders if he actually has anything against vampires. Jason attempts to leave but the preachers wife Sarah chases after him and convinces him to stay. When Sookie wakes up he meets the same waitress that shot Lafayette when he tried to escape. Sookie reads the waitresses mind and finds out that Lafayette is in the basement. She makes the waitress take her to the dungeon where she finds him on the ground clinging to what little life he has left. Sookie then tells Bill about Lafayette being in the basement, and Sookie orders Eric to release him. Jessica goes to Merlotte’s where she finds a young man who is very interested in the fact that she is a vampire. Eric agrees to let Lafayette go if Sookie goes to Dallas and helps find the missing vampire. During a party at Marryann’s (a mad bumping party) Detective Andy shows up to deal with a noise complaint. Lafayette returns home for the first time. Jessica invites her new friend (the boy she met in the bar) over to Bill’s house. Back at Maryann’s party, Tara starts to notice the strange things that are going on around her. When Bill and Sookie return home, they find Jessica on top of her new boyfriend, Bill throws Jessica across the room. Jessica swears that she wasn’t going to bite him.

S02E02 “Keep This Party Going”

2009/Jul/22nd

“Keep This Party Going”

Sookie suggests that Bill go easier on Jessica because she is just a teenage girl (even though she is a vampire). Lafayette is hit with flying body parts after the redneck attempted to kill Eric and escape from the dungeon below Fangtasia (didn’t work lol). Eric brings Lafayette upstairs and Lafayette tries to reason with Eric, explaining that he believes he is there because he sold “V” and that he will give up the names of everyone he has ever sold to if they let him go. Eric asks what happened to the Vampire that he was buying the blood from, and Lafayette explains that he thinks Jason Stackhouse might have taken him. Eric and his associate agree that doing anything to Jason would cause problems with Sookie who is too important to them. They ask Lafayette if he has heard anything about a new kind of “V” being sold in the Dallas area (a high ranking vampire has gone missing in Dallas), Lafayette denies knowing anything and is sent back down to the dungeon. Jason heads for the Light of the Day Institute, where he meets a guy on the bus whom he seems to have something in common with (football) and they decide to bunk together. While having breakfast and watching the news, Sookie sees the parents of Jessica pleading for someone to come forward with any information of her whereabouts. Maryann shows up at Merlottes’ for food, and Sam tells her to stop messing with him and leave. Maryann refuses to leave and stays for a bite to eat. While in the dungeon, Lafayette takes a knife out of the leg of the blown up redneck, and uses it to break free of his chains. He runs upstairs and trys to escape but he is stopped by a waitress who shoots him in the leg. Sookie goes to Bills house and is greeted by Jessica, Jessica tells Sookie that she just saw her parents on tv. She says that she misses her parents and her little sister. Sookie agrees to take Jessica and drive by her parents house so she can catch a glimpse of them through the window, to try and get some closure. While Bill is shopping for clothes for Jessica, he runs into Eric who tells him that they must speak immediately. Eric explains that Godric, a top level vampire has gone missing in Texas, and that Sookie must help him to find the missing vampire. When Sookie and Jessica arrive at Jessica’s parents house, she sees her little sister and runs out of the car to bang on the door. Sookie runs after her but it is too late, Jessica’s mother answers the door and sees them, then invites them in. When Jessica’s father comes home he angers her, and her fangs come out expsing her as the vampire she has become. Lafayette asks Eric to turn him into a Vampire rather than killing him. Jessica attackers her father, but Bill arrives just in time to stop her.
