Episode one of the NEW SEASON! “Nothing But Blood”
![]()
The episode starts in the parking lot of Sam Merlotte’s bar. Detective Andy Bellefleur finds the body of a dead Miss Jeanette (the exorcist) in his car. Upon further inspection of the corpse, it appears that her heart had been completely ripped from the body! When police arrive on the scene Tara first denies knowing the victim, but then later admits that the body was that of Miss Jeanette, who had performed an exorcism on her. Bill continues to have his hands full with Jessica, whom he introduces to Sookie for the first time in this episode. Bill admits to Jessica that Sookie is his girlfriend, and that she may not attempt to feed on her. In this episode Lafayette finds him self a prisoner in a dungeon (the whereabouts of the dungeon are unknown at this time). Lafayette does his best to keep his composure while he is held captive in the dark, cold, dirty dungeon. When the dungeon door swings open another man is thrown in, and much to Lafayette’s surprise, the man is one of the rednecks that he had previously beat up at Merlotte’s bar. While Tara is being questioned about the death of the exorcist, her mother arrives at the station and looses it when she finds out about Miss Jeanette’s death. When Tara tries to explain to her mother Lettie Mae that Miss Jeanette’s exorcisms were a scam, she refuses to believe it. When Sookie arrives at Bill’s and is introduced to Jessica (whom is wearing nothing but a towel), she becomes enraged with Bill for not telling her about how he had to turn Jessica to save her. She then walks out of the house in a fury of anger. Sookie receives some money from her dead uncle (who was killed by Bill in season 1) and gives the money to Jason because she wants nothing to do with it. Jason then uses the money to go to the Light of Day institute, and learn about how to spread their word. Nearing the end of the episode, we find out that the dungeon Lafayette is being held in is in the basement of Fangtasia when the door opens and Eric appears. Also in this episode Sam had a flashback, and we learn about how he knows Maryann.
