The episode begins where the last ended, with Sookie arriving at Compton’s house to be greated by a group of blood-thirsty vampires. Compton lays claim on Sookie by stating that she was his, assuring that none of the other vampires would attempt to feast on her. After this the vampires (Malcolm, Liam and Diane) leave the house. Compton explains to Sookie that when vampires live in groups, the will eventually secom to their urges, but ones like him that live alone can hang on to what little humanity they still posess. Jason begins seeing a waitress and friend of Sookie’s, and seeks help (with his new found problem) from Lafayette Reynolds. (played by Nelsan Ellis). Lafayette is a cook at Sam Merlotte’s bar, as well as a self-proclaimed entrapreneur (drug-dealer). He gives Jason a vile of vampire blood to help with his problems in bed.
